The 3rd Croatian Conference on Earthquake Engineering (3CroCEE) was held from March 19th-22nd 2025, commemorating the 5th anniversary of the devastating March 2025 Zagreb earthquake. One of the main goals of the conference was to promote state-of-the-art research in earthquake engineering and to implement knowledge and experience into reconstruction and risk mitigation activities. 2BESAFE research team participated actively in the organization of the conference. Many fruitful discussions with international experts enhanced the work done by the research group.
Member of the 2BESAFE research team Ante Pilipović contributed with a conference paper titled “”Engineering expertise aspects during disaster response – A case study of floods in BiH” where engineering experiences from the recent floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina in October 2024 were recounted and lessons learned presented, as well as the ongoing formation of a Structural Engineering Team (SET) module of Croatia within the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism (EUCPM).
