Members of the 2BESAFE research group and PhD candidates Romano Jevtić Rundek and Ante Pilipović participated at the METIS Summer School on Seismic Fragility Analysis held in Athens, Greece from 8th – 9th June 2022. The school was held at the Zografou Campus and was organized by the NTUA (National Technical University of Athens) as part of the METIS project financed by Horizon 2020.
The school covered fragility curve derivation methods for various building types, especially the incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) method. An in-depth view into intensity measure selection was also given. Hands-on sessions were held to demonstrate the derivation of fragility curves.
In attendance were PhD students from universities across Europe interested in the seismic risk assessment topics.
Learned lessons are valuable to our 2BESAFE research group in developing a methodology for deriving fragility and vulnerability curves for our target buildings.
