Presentation of a new book created after the Zagreb 2020 earthquake, which gathered most of the knowledge needed for a successful reconstruction.
At the 1st Croatian Conference on Earthquake Engineering – 1CroCEE the university monograph EARTHQUAKE ENGINEERING – Retroffiting of masonry buildings was presented.
On 22 March 2021, at the opening of the CroCEE conference, Assoc. Prof. Uroš presented this book to the participants.
On 24 March 2021, a special section was held where the editors (Mario Uroš, Milan Crnogorac, Mario Todorić, Josip Atalić, Marta Šavor Novak and Stjepan Lakušić) presented the chapters and topics of the monograph itself in detail.
More than 60 experts in the field of earthquake engineering and masonry buildings design have been involved in the preparation of this monograph. In this book they have tried to address specific issues related to the reconstruction of buildings after the earthquakes in Zagreb and Petrinja and gather the most of the knowledge necessary for successful reconstruction. The book is aimed primarily at structural engineers, who will bear the greatest burden of reconstruction, and at all students of civil engineering.
