The Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers awarded the “Kolos” prizes for the work done to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake:
Assoc. prof. Josip Atalić, Assoc. prof. Mario Uroš and Assist. prof. Marta Šavor Novak for their work after the earthquake in Zagreb. And to assist. Maja Baniček, Assist. prof. Marija Demšić and Prof. Joško Krolo for their work after the earthquake in Petrinja.
In addition, prof. Atalić and prof. Uroš organized the Earthquake Engineering Section, where experts in the field of earthquake engineering and structural design presented and discussed topics related to seismic retrofitting of buildings. As part of this section, Marija Demšić gave a presentation on “Out-of-plane walls failure”.
